About This Site

This web-site is largely a matter of whimsy.
Ownership of the Domain - blackdragonkeep.com - and certain functions and options associated with that ownership (and hosting) are important to me, but the design, layout and content of the web-site itself are purely for my own amusement.
This means that it will change over time as I add new elements, amend existing elements - and, quite possibly, remove some. [Although the overall content will probably remain intact, and there will be periodic additions to that content.]
This is partly a learning experience for me but, ultimately, something I am choosing to do simply for the fun of it.
Obviously, as the name would imply, I have a predilection for matters relating to dragons.
Therefore, the old map warning that "... there be dragons here ..." is probably most appropriate.
However, there will also be personal comments, observations, snippets, images, videos and items which I find amusing or instructive.
With the exception of (my own) original content, all other items are, I believe, in the public domain. The exception to this is quotes from various books and other sources, which I will acknowledge.
If there is anything on this web-site which is the personal property of anyone else, under copy-write or any other terms, please advise me of this through the Contact page.
Depending on the wishes of the owner I will then either remove the offending item or acknowledge ownership of it.
It should be noted that this site is not optimised for mobile phones. I consider them to be a necessary evil, but not something I choose to cater for.
If you want to browse this site, sit comfortably at a computer (with a nice big screen) and enjoy!
If you must use a mobile device, then make the best of it. You are welcome to stay, or find a more amenable site, whatever best suits you.
I might add that my attitude towards mobile phones also extends to social media.
Unless I am with a friend who uses it, I do not visit FaceBook, have never used Whatsapp and have no idea how to Twitter/Tweet - and no desire to learn.
The simple fact is that the only "networking" I do is linking my computers together and connecting to the Internet through my ISP.
Although I am a (neophyte!) photographer, I have never taken a 'selfie' .... and just don't see the point of doing so!
This means that I do not expect you to "like" me through any social media format.
If you do enjoy your visit them feel free to return, and see what has been added to the site.
If not, the Internet is full of places that I am sure will satisfy you far more than Black Dragon Keep.
