Sue, Sheila, David and I were walking near Sue's home (outside Yea, Victoria, Australia), when I photographed this image.
The instant I saw the view I was reminded of M. Scott Peck's book The Road Less Traveled.
“You cannot truly listen to anyone and do anything else at the same time.”
Many people, who seem to be glued to their mobile telephones, should perhaps take note of that comment!
“Whenever we seek to avoid the responsibility for our own behavior, we do so by attempting to give that responsibility to some other individual or organization or entity. But this means we then give away our power to that entity.”
Isn't that what most modern Governments want us to do?
“As I grow through love, so grows my joy, ever more present, ever more constant.”
“Genuine love not only respects the individuality of the other but actually cultivates it, even at the risk of separation or loss. The ultimate goal of life remains the spiritual growth of the individual, the solitary journey to peaks that can be climbed only alone.”
And so .... the Road Less Travelled.
